Before you buy

  • Entry Grade (1/144): designed to go together without tools. The place to start.
  • HG (1/144): the widest range of suits. Most finish in an evening.
  • RG (1/144): HG size with an inner frame and far more detail.
  • MG (1/100): bigger, with a full inner frame. A few evenings of work.
  • Kotobukiya: original designs like Frame Arms Girl and Megami Device, many with pre-printed faces.

Questions

Which grade should I start with?
Entry Grade if you have never built a kit: it is designed to go together without tools. HG if you have side cutters and want more choice. RG and MG make more sense once you have a build or two behind you.

Do I need glue or paint?
No. Bandai Gunpla snap together and the colors are molded in. Panel lining and a top coat are optional extras, not requirements.

What tools do I need?
A good pair of side cutters is the one must-have. A hobby knife or sanding sticks help clean up the small marks left where parts were cut from the runner.

How much is shipping?
Free US shipping on orders over $55, and $8 flat on orders under $55. Everything ships from our warehouse in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, so there are no import fees.
